Magenta Design Team

I'm so excited, Helene from Magenta asked me to be join their Design Team.
Wow what an honour😆
I hope you will join me in heading over to Magenta and seeing what the Design Team have to show us as we bring in the New Year.

Here is my Card for the New Year introduction to 2019. So  a Happy New Year to all my Blog friends and I'm looking forward to a very crafty time with you all.

I used some Heat and Stick with embossing ink and then silver gilding flakes to create the silver image then stamped again with distress oxide ink.

The advantage of Heat and Stick or Sticky embossing powder is that you don't have that horrid clean up of glue off your stamps.

for this card I used the following stamp.

Nigella
Nigella 48.015.M

Card Recipe
Stamps: Magenta
Paper:110 lb white, black, Silver
Ink:  Distress Oxide, Versamark
Accessories: Heat and stick, gilding flakes, MISTI, Silver Washi tape.
Techniques: gilding flakes

My congratulations that you entered the Magenta team. It's a real top league! I know you bring a lot of great challenges and I can not wait for them anymore. I love this card, the shining foreground and a calmer color of depth. Thank you for your comments regarding the technique of gilding. I have a question, therefore, if you used glue, what then did you clean stamps? If you find the time of strength and a moment to answer me, I will be very grateful. I wish you a great celebration of the New Year.
Hugs,
BożenA

Many congratulations on joining the Magenta Design Team, Christine! It's a clever way of using the Heat and Stick embossing powder for Gilding flakes. I love the beautiful shine against the black background and the well-thought-out design: the Distress Oxide stamping, the glittery silver trim, the silver washi tape, and the sequins.
Looking forward to seeing many more of your creations this year!
Happy New Year, my friend!
Hideko xx

This is so beautiful. The shine against the dark background really pops. Thanks for the tip using sticky powder with gilding flakes. That's a great idea and much cleaner.
