Hi everyone, this month
Group of Seven Cardmakers are using Velum and embossing (Dry, Heat and Pastes) as the product and technique to try.
For my cards I have used Dry (using an Embossing Folder) and Heat Embossing. The thicker velum handles the dry embossing much better and doesn't seem to crack when you emboss it..
Card #1, Simon Says Stamp Embossing folder, Stampers Anonymous Sentiment. The embossed area was placed over blue card and mounted on a white base.
Card #2, Retired Stamping up sentiment, Stamping up foliage. The velum was heat embossed with white embossing powder and Versamark ink and the same image was stamped on the reverse in blue ink. It takes a while for the ink to dry. I die cut a window using a rectangle and placed the velum behind. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Clair
I hope you find some velum and play along with us.
