Hi Everyone, it's time for the Group of Seven Crafters monthly technique. This month we are play with glitter on acetate. Yes we all have a few containers in the craft room that haven't seen the light of day in years. It makes some of the most beautiful cards but we all tend to avoid using it because of the clean up and having to wear it for the next few days 😀
Videos:
1) How to use Thermo Acetate with Glitter by tjaniga (9:41). *** You only need heat-proof acetate if you are heat embossing your line image. Otherwise, stamp in archival or permanent ink, flip acetate over, and add glue and glitter to back of image.
2) Glittery Acetate Cards by Crafi Potential (13:03). This version uses frames dies with acetate, glitter & glue. You can use regular acetate for this technique but heat emboss very carefully
Card 1 - Heat embossed image on acetate using Versafine Clair ink and clear Embossing powder, Magenta stamps.
Card 2 - Die cut backed with acetate and glitter poured in the cutouts. Die Cut Sizzix by Tim Holtz, Sentiment Stampers Anonymous by Tim Holtz.
I hope you pull out your old glitter containers and try the techniques with us.

Both cards are so lovely with all the sparkle, Christine. Those chickadees stole my heart!! Your second card using the die-cut really hows off more sparkle with the acetate in the background. You've done an amazing work with both versions of this technique! xx
OMGosh, Christine! These are amazing! Absolutely jaw dropping. Love the chickadees so much. Amazing to think it's a stamp. It looks like a die cut the way it's sitting on the acetate. And then that gorgeous flash of red holly berries and green leaves on your second card. I'm smitten!
Beautiful cards. The second one is my favorite with the die cut. TFS
What a wonderful scene stamp you used on your first card Christine and a beautiful holly die cut for the second technique! You had great success with both techniques! Julia xx
Both beautiful cards, love the image, dies and all the sparkle.

WOW! Two beautiful glittered images, Christine! I love the birds and berries with the different shades of glitter! And the holly and berries on the second card are so bright and pretty!
Two great image choices for this, Christine! That berry-ful holly and swoopy font on the sediment make your second card my favorite card of the whole gallery! (Don't tell the others I said that!) Hugs, Darnell
Nice to see one card for each of the two techniques. Both are beautiful, but I especially love the second one.
Stunning. Both cards are stunning. The red and green glitter card is just beautiful. Those birds and berries made a charming winter card. You did a great job using the glitter.
Oh my goodness, those sparkly chickadees are just as sweet as they can be! Love the elegance of your second masterpiece too!
Simply stunning. I am loving all that sparkle xx
More glittery goodness. I’ve only ever done this technique with stamps, but i love the look of the diecut one.
