Crafty zoom - Debossing Inky Resist

Hi everyone, it's time for our Monthly Zoom post with the Group of Seven Crafters.

This month Julia found a technique which heat embosses white embossing powder on the debossed side of the embossing folder which creates an ink resist - Video:  Debossed Inky Resist (Anna-Karin Evaldsson via SplitcoastStampers)

I did mine as a deboss and an embossed image and also used spray inks rather than ink pads. I wanted the deeper colour and to be able to add the colour quicker.

My first card is the Debossed side of the folder, you can see all the white embossed area and and the ink picked up of the trees.

This card is the emboss side of the folder.

Snowy nights

My goal this year is to join in with at least one Christmas Card challenge a week. So this week I am back at Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge and The Merry Christmas Card Challenge with the card below.

The black cards stock is one of my previously made cling wrap backgrounds.  I used a Simon Says Stamp falling snow stencil and texture paste to crate the snowy scene.  the polar bears have been stamped die cut and coloured with watercolours.  The snow bank was cut with a lawn fawn hills die cut, sponged with distress inks and glitter texture paste added for snow.

I used my embossing tip to shape the edge of the mama and baby polar bears and popped them up on some foam dots.

CAS Watercolour mid month reminder Happy Birthday

CAS Watercolour challenge for this month is Birthday, so come on over and see the amazing work and from the Design Team and our Guest Designer for this month Birgit of Rapport fran ett Skrivbord.  Your entries are always such incredible eye candy and inspiration, so please keep them coming 😊

My card,  if you saw yesterdays post for my CAS Mix up Guest Designer entry, you will recognise this is another section of the same black card stock.
I randomly stamped the moons around the shells, I cut it down into 4 different cards.  So awesome to get 4 cards our of one background.  This card has a more of a masculine feel to it.
I spritzed the card stock with water mixed with perfect pearls and then sprinkled some Lindy's Stamp Gang powders over the water.  I smooshed the cling wrap over the powders to move them around. The perfect pearls and Lindy's powders give it such a sparkly background and such a pop on the black card stock

Here are the cards I made with the one sheet, if you look carefully you can see how the shell fits together.

Don't forget to come on over to both CAS Watercolour and CAS Mix up and and join in the fun.
