Crafty zoom - Debossing Inky Resist

Hi everyone, it's time for our Monthly Zoom post with the Group of Seven Crafters.

This month Julia found a technique which heat embosses white embossing powder on the debossed side of the embossing folder which creates an ink resist - Video:  Debossed Inky Resist (Anna-Karin Evaldsson via SplitcoastStampers)

I did mine as a deboss and an embossed image and also used spray inks rather than ink pads. I wanted the deeper colour and to be able to add the colour quicker.

My first card is the Debossed side of the folder, you can see all the white embossed area and and the ink picked up of the trees.

This card is the emboss side of the folder.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Sentiment - Simon Says Stamp
Paper: 110lb White, Black Gold
Ink: Versafine Clair, Versamark
Accessories: Embossing folders, Distress Oxide Sprays, Lindys Sprays, White Embossing Powder
Techniques: Deboss/Emboss Inky Resist

Interesting technique. You've made so many beautiful cards, Christine. It is difficult for me to tell unequivocally which side of the embossing looks better. Both versions are wonderful.
