Penny Black Snowman

I just received my Penny Black Christmas stamp order, I was so excited because I fell in love with this guy.

The base is texture paste on coated card using the Tim Holtz Christmas sentiment stencil, once I applied the texture paste I sprinkled powdered inks (Lindy's stamp gang and Paper artsy infusions) and spritzed with water. I did this while the paste was wet that way the inks cling to the paste.
I no line watercoloured him using Zig pens and Ranger Antique Linen for the no line base and then fussy cut him. I added a little Nuvo sparkle to his had nose and berries.
I used some prismacolour pencils to add some definition to his nose and scarf.

I'm entering this for

CAS Christmas mid month reminder

It's wreath time at CAS Christmas Card Challenge and here is my card for the challenge. Our host this month is Nance of and our Guest Designer if Birgit.

The challenge is open until the 24th of the months so please drop bye and see the inspiration from the DT and we would love to see your cards.

For my card  I watercoloured the the wreath and Robin, applied some Sookwang tape to the card and covered the sticky surface with Martha Stewart glitter.

I used the Sissix wood embossing folder to create the wood grain background and die cut the circle with a Simon Says Stamp stitched circle.  I didn't notice I had a little ink in the grain from a previous project, in the end I quite liked the speckles of colour. The sentiment is stamped on dark brown card stock in Ranger Liquid platinum embossing powder.

September CAS Christmas Time to hang that Wreath

It's time for CAS Christmas Card Challenge and the Theme for September is Wreath.

Nance is our Host for this month and our Guest Designer is Birgit (Rapport fran ett Skivbord) along with the rest of the the DT there are some great cards for you to check out.

For my card I used pencils on Kraft card with white embossing and a little Wink of Stella.
The colours I chose are gold, silver and blue.
I stamped the image in white SU kraft in, heat set it then used my pencils to colour in the shapes making the wreath.  Once coloured I put the card back in the stamp positioner and re inked with the white and used white embossing powder.  The white embossing powder was brighter than the white  ink. I added a few sequins for some extra sparkle.

You have until the 24th of the month to join in the fun.
