CAS Christmas mid month reminder

It's wreath time at CAS Christmas Card Challenge and here is my card for the challenge. Our host this month is Nance of and our Guest Designer if Birgit.

The challenge is open until the 24th of the months so please drop bye and see the inspiration from the DT and we would love to see your cards.

For my card  I watercoloured the the wreath and Robin, applied some Sookwang tape to the card and covered the sticky surface with Martha Stewart glitter.

I used the Sissix wood embossing folder to create the wood grain background and die cut the circle with a Simon Says Stamp stitched circle.  I didn't notice I had a little ink in the grain from a previous project, in the end I quite liked the speckles of colour. The sentiment is stamped on dark brown card stock in Ranger Liquid platinum embossing powder.

Card Recipe
Stamps: wreath magazine freebee, Sentiment Serendipity.
Paper: Watercolour, 110 lb white
Ink: Versamark, Distress Weathered wood.
Accessories: Sizzix wood grain, Simon Says Stamp  stitched circle, Sookwang tape, Martha Stewart Glitter
Techniques: Watercolouring, glitter, Embossing.

You did a fabulous job coloring this bird and wreath and love the glitter over the image, so festive. I had not noticed the ink on the folder until you mentioned it but I too, like that on the wood grain. Fantastic card!

I love this pretty watercolored wreath and robin, Christine!
Using the double-sided tape is a clever idea for adhering the glitter! It looks so sparkly and beautiful (thanks so the close-up photo)! It almost looks like an image on a porcelain plate.
I agree that the speckles of color from the previous project makes the woodgrain look better. Hideko xx

Love this sparkly little robin perched in such a pretty wreath. I like the glitter over top of this design, and I think the little specks of color in the wood graining look quite realistic with this sweet bird! TFS

This is such a sweet and pretty image! I haven't done this glitter technique for a while, but what a gorgeous effect and now I'm surely going to try and remember. Love the color bits in the wood grain, too. Beautiful CAS card, Christine!
