The Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends

This is day 5 of the challenge and I bet you've seen some great tags.

For my Tag I gesso'd the surface of the tag, painted it with Alchemy Metalic paints and then stenciled a darker colour over the surface. I  layered embossing powder to give a molten metal effect on  my wood "Elf and Safety at work" sign die,  cut a window out to put one of MFT Elves behind  and used some snowy acetate infront.

I added a little washi tape because the colour matched and I realised I have all this washi tape and never us it. I'm sure there are lots of you out there that do this, buy lots of stuff and never use it 😁

Card Recipe
Stamps:MFT elves.
Paper: Coated tags
Ink:Ranger archival
Accessories: Water colour, wood sentiment, Ranger embossing powder, wood grain stencil
Techniques: Tag, steniciling, watercolouring, fussycutting

What a fabulous metallic background on your super cute tag. The stencil looks wonderful and love the molten fun sentiment. Those elfs are adorable and love the cut out with the acetate on top. Yes I can totally relate to hoarding crafty goodies gathering dust ! X wonderful inspiration, thank you X

Oh my gosh, saw this earlier on Loll's blog and was amazed at how well you achieved the look of metal on your fun sign. Those elves are adorable and love, love, love the metallic wood background. Laughing about the Washi tape and it amazes me how many yards are on a roll. I try and use it up when wrapping gifts, particularly big ones.

Wow..Stunning and Adorable elves tag, Christine. I just can't believe your sign is layered EB powder and not real metal..I am impressed. Love your faux wood mixed media background, window with elf peeking out and elf with ornament. So many fun Christmas elements in your creative tag, my friend. TFS Hugs..Nancy

This is just so awesome, Christine! Of course, the little elves are adorable and beautifully watercolored, but how you did the tag and that work sign, the snowy acetate - even the addition of the Washi tape - are all fabulous elements to make this whole design a fun work of art!! ❤Hugs, Darnell

This is a work of art - all those elements on a little tag just blew me away. So very cute and clever. I love the window with the elf peeking through and the sign is great.

Oh, gosh, your tag really looks like it's made of metal! I honestly thought the little safety sign was a metal embellishment. LOVE the way you stenciled over the tag! It looks like wood grain metal. And those little elves are so cute and beautifully colored. Love this all over, Christine!

Oh I absolutely adore your tags!!!! They are incredible and just so cute! I wouldn't want to part with these!
Christine you asked about the dies I used... I got them from Aliexpress... I can't find the same ones I got anymore but they do have similar ones... Type in the search for 'Corner Stencil Metal die cutting" Hopefully you will find something you like.
Have a lovely day!

First of all, your dogs are adorable!! Love this tag too with the hardware feature and cute little elves! Oddly you mention washi tape - I just uncovered 6 rolls of it yesterday that I've never used, so I'm guilty :) I buy and never use - which says I have too much! LOL

Who could resist your cute and prettily coloured elves Christine, and the background effect is like a silver woodgrain..very clever, and the gold embossed sign is such fun and made me laugh out loud. A great idea to put one of the eleves behind the snowy acetate window too. x

Oh my Christine. I do love the tones and mixed media on this unique tag. The two different metallics compliment each other perfectly. Your watercoloring is beautiful. Well done xx

You have a special gift to create such beautiful tags, and the mix media technique is your favorite technique ... I do not know if it's really a favorite, but you create it with such ease. I love this tag with all the details. Yes, I have entire drawers of things that I have never used, but it's good that they are ... I'm glad that not only I have :-)
