I haven't made Twelve tags but have joined in with a few at Loll and friends Twelve Tags of Christmas.
The die cut is one of the Sizzix Big dies. I cut the Fiddler out of chip board and used Clear heat embossing powder to give him a little shine.
The tag was gesso'd, stamped with a Paper artsy background stamp and painted with acrylic paint. I dry embossed the tag with a Christmas tree and sanded the tree to remove some of the acrylic paint.
I stenciled the sentiment at the bottom of the tag with crackle paint and blended distress inks in a darker blue. I added some tree lights in red and gold using a pearl pen.
I hope you like the tag.

Like it? I love it! I know nothing about mixed media, but if that is what this is? I'll have three... thanks for your visit, and kindness, Christine.

Wow! Another fantastic mixed media tag, Christine! I love the Christmas tree and the caroler shows up beautifully with the embossing! Love this!
I love that sanded tree and the Fiddler is perfect for a Christmas tag.
Oh, my word, that is the coolest die and tag! Love the sanded tree and crackled bottom. My crackle paint dried up right there in the jar after only being opened once, grrrr.
What a wonderful Christmas scene you've created on your beautiful tag. Loving the mixed media mediums and the dry embossing, the crackle and the black die cut silhouette look fabulous X

Love the old-fashioned look of this! Great mixed media background!
Your background is mixed media genius! Who but you would think to start with gesso, add paint, emboss and sand it off, giving a subtle yet impressive background for your focal. Beautiful tag, Christine!
