It really is Christmas when it's Christmas Tag Time

For me it really does feel as though Christmas is coming when it's the Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends.

Back in the spring I headed to Spicers my local paper/card stock distributor, BTW they have warehouses in Canada and the US, I highly recommend you check them out if you have one near you their prices are amazing. They sell bulk envelopes, 110lb white card and also sell off cuts and coated card (Pacecetter Silk and Matt) for those who wonder where to buy it.
When I go I seem to loose all sense of reason and buy in bulk, and bulk there means I bought a box of 1000 coated card stock tags. Luckily I have lots of friends who were willing to take a few home with them 😉
I'm entering this for the Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends, you have until November 23rd to join in the fun.

Now to be perfectly honest, I didn't write things down as I was going along, with mixed media this can cause problems when you want to list all the things you used.
I gesso'd the card, painted it with acrylic paint, sprayed with lindy's magical sprays, stenciled it with crackle paste, stamped it with background stamps, stenciled with black distress ink. My tree die cuts were little snippits of backgrounds in my UFO box and some red stickles. I may have  missed a few things.

I thought the tag would look good as a card so I hinged it on the inside and made an envelope with my envelope maker.

I looked forward to your post, Christine and not sure which I liked best, your tag or write up. I'm so not about taking notes on what I used either so when I post I'm often scrambling through the stamps to find the name of it. Love all the products you used on this delightful tag and would have enjoyed watching you do it. Fantastic layers on this too.

Great mixed media tag Christine, love all the layers to show off your die cut trees. It can get a bit of a frenzy at ones desk when the mojo is flowing, I so understand you should see mine with a much smaller area than your lovely crafting space.

LOVE all your layers of goodness on this tag Christine! First, the colours are AWESOME! And there's just so much to look at. Love the background with the bits of crackle paste and the stenciled black lettering. The trees are so sweet and just jump off the tag. Thanks so much for playing along at TTOC 2018! xx

Glorious mixed media tag and what a fun idea to make it into a card. I love all the layering of the gesso, acrylic paints, lindy's, stencilling and stamping to make one fabulous and unique background. The trees just pop off the tag and are fabulous. One stunning tag, with lots of fabulous interest and mixed media goodies X

I can imagine how you'd lose track of all that went into the making of a mixed media project like this. Gosh, it looks so cool! A mixed media canvas is on my list of things to try someday. Love the look of gesso, paints, die cuts and all that fun stuff. I like it as a little tag card with perfectly sized envelope, too. I would love to have a store like yours here! Easy to go nuts, I know, and buying in bulk it can really add up. It was a sad day when our only paper craft store in town closed.

Wow..absolutely Stunning Artsy Mixed Media tag/card, Christine. TFS all your many layers of mixed media products. You would have to write a book if you kept track of all your products and techniques. I LOVE your colors, crackle paste, stamping and much more my friend. You gave me some of your tags...thanks for the reminder. We are sure having fun again playing in Loll's inspiring Christmas Tag Challenge! Hugs, Nancy
