Heat Laminated Foil.

I finally broke down and bought a laminator to try out some foiling, I opted to go really cheap and small so picked up one from Amazon. OMG so much fun seeing those sparkly stamped images emerge.
I used some Decofoil transfer gel sponged onto my stamp, stamped the image and let it dry a little. I then run the foil and the stamped card through the laminator sandwiched between a sheet of printer paper. I found that was the best way to stop anything getting stuck between the rollers.

The first card is the stamp and foil, the foils is pretty blue colour but really hard to capture on camera.

The second card is the foil image after the stamp, it seemed a pity to waste such a pretty negative image. I stuck the foil to a piece of card.

Card Recipe

Gorgeous cards and the negative image is as great as the original. Great way to get a twofer. Love them both.

Wow, love these. I have never seen this done before. Maybe there is a laminator in my future! Beautiful work. Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Holly and the Ivy. I hope to see you join us again on March 5th.

I had a look around your blog. Your style is so different from mine and I'm very intrigued by it. Lots of things I haven't tried. I just became a follower. Hope you don't mind. I can use the inspiration.

Really stunning positive and negative foil cards, Christine! I played with the foil and laminator last year when I went to see Colleen and Linda and came home with several pieces. What did you use to glue down the negative sheet? Hugs, Darnell

Love the way you used the positive and negative versions. My favourite in this case is the negative one - it looks like a wonderful snowy night.

Gorgeous twofers, Christine. That was brilliant not to waste the negative piece! Love the look of foil. Can’t wait to get my laminator tomorrow. xx

Oh, no you didn't! These two cards are amazing! Gosh, I'm glad you saved the negative. I think that one is my favorite! Gorgeous, Christine!

Oh my gosh, this is incredible! You used a detailed stamp with the gel and had success! A friend and I wasted a whole day and lots of money on foil trying with laser printing, gel and toner designs and whatever with zero success, lots of missed spots. I too tried here with cheap products and zero. I BOW to you for succeeding and want you to know I'm first in line for my lessons!

The foiling on your first card turned out beautifully Christine. I love the shimmer and shine from the foil and glad I got to see this in real life. What a great way to use the negative to create a second gorgeous foiled card. xx

Wow, both cards are stunning, Christine! After looking at your cards, I placed an order of more deco foils including Ocean Blue. :-) The negative foil image looks fantastic too. I'm glad you used it for the second card. You did a great job of foiling with the detailed image with the gel medium. Thanks for your inspiration!

Christine, so beautiful two cards! It was the best possible idea to use the foil after the first lamination. The second card is even more beautiful. You have a great artistic sense !!
