Santa is stuck in the Chimney

This cute Santa stuck in the chimney is an old High Hopes stamp which I've had for a long time, so it's great to ink it up. He's quite large so I put him on a 5 X 7 card base.

I stenciled the snow with snowy texture paste and added texture paste to Santa's Hat and Jacket (mostly to hide a red watercolour run😏)

I die cut Let It Snow through the centre of the  scene and added Nuvo glitter pen to the white snowy roof.

Silhouette Caroler Tag

Here is the other Caroler from the Sizzix die. This time I used it on a much smaller tag. The tag came with a pair of pants I purchased a couple of years ago, it was way too nice to throw out so it got upcycled.
I gesso'd the tag, used crackle paste over a stencil and sprayed with Lindy's Magicals.  I pressed the edge of the tag into my Versamark pad and dipped it into some Emerald Creek embossing powder.
The caroler was die cut from chip board, versamark and a couple of layers of clear embossing powder applied to give a shiny surface,

I'm entering this for the following challenges

Paper: Chip board
Ink: Versamark

CAS Christmas November Mid month Reminder

It's time for CAS Christmas card Challenge mid month reminder which means November is flying by and we just have a few more weeks to make Christmas cards.
Come joinour Guest Designer is Pam from Expressions with Heart and the Design team in making some Santa cards.

You have until November 24th to enter the challenge, just remember to check out the challenge rules before you enter.

For my card I used one of the new Paper Artsy (JOFY) stamp sets. I stamped the Santa using Black Versafine Clair on watercolour card and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I watercoloured him and then fussy cut the image.
I used a black pen to run around the edge, this hides any slight miss cuts. I also used an embossing tool and run it along the edge of the image to give it a 3D effect. I used a Nuvo sparkle pen to make his outfit a little more festive and a liquid chrome pen for his laces.
As the image is quite large I used a 5X7 card base, therefore making it a little more CAS than if I'd used a 41/4 X 51/2.

Stamps: JOFY
Paper: 110lb white, Watercolour
Ink: Versafine Clair, Distress Oxide (blue), Ranger Archival black,

Caroling Christmas Tag

I haven't made Twelve tags but have joined in with a few at Loll and friends Twelve Tags of Christmas.

The die cut is one of the Sizzix  Big dies. I cut the Fiddler out of chip board and used Clear heat embossing powder to give him a little shine.
The tag was gesso'd, stamped with a Paper artsy background stamp and painted with acrylic paint. I dry embossed the tag with a Christmas tree and sanded the tree to remove some of the acrylic paint.
I stenciled the sentiment at the bottom of the tag with crackle paint and blended distress inks in a darker blue. I added some tree lights in red and gold using a pearl pen.

I hope you like the tag.

Another Tag

Hi Everyone, thanks to all that wonderful inspiration over at Stamping with Loll, I'm adding another tag to her Twelve Tags of Christmas challenge.

For my tag I gesso'd the tag, used Lindy's magical sprays and stamped using Impression Obsession Christmas background text. I then used texture paste to add the stars, the texture paste absorbs some of the colour from the sprays and blends with the background.
My naught puppy stamp is from Gerda Steiner collection and I couldn't resist adding Dyan Reaveley Christmas sentiment with the Penny Black scroll die.

Paper: Coated Card Tag, Watercolour
Ink: Ranger archival black, brown
Accessories: Stencil, spray inks, gesso, Penny Black scroll die, Gerder Steiner stamp and die set.

The Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends

This is day 5 of the challenge and I bet you've seen some great tags.

For my Tag I gesso'd the surface of the tag, painted it with Alchemy Metalic paints and then stenciled a darker colour over the surface. I  layered embossing powder to give a molten metal effect on  my wood "Elf and Safety at work" sign die,  cut a window out to put one of MFT Elves behind  and used some snowy acetate infront.

I added a little washi tape because the colour matched and I realised I have all this washi tape and never us it. I'm sure there are lots of you out there that do this, buy lots of stuff and never use it 😁

It really is Christmas when it's Christmas Tag Time

For me it really does feel as though Christmas is coming when it's the Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends.

Back in the spring I headed to Spicers my local paper/card stock distributor, BTW they have warehouses in Canada and the US, I highly recommend you check them out if you have one near you their prices are amazing. They sell bulk envelopes, 110lb white card and also sell off cuts and coated card (Pacecetter Silk and Matt) for those who wonder where to buy it.
When I go I seem to loose all sense of reason and buy in bulk, and bulk there means I bought a box of 1000 coated card stock tags. Luckily I have lots of friends who were willing to take a few home with them 😉
I'm entering this for the Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends, you have until November 23rd to join in the fun.

Now to be perfectly honest, I didn't write things down as I was going along, with mixed media this can cause problems when you want to list all the things you used.
I gesso'd the card, painted it with acrylic paint, sprayed with lindy's magical sprays, stenciled it with crackle paste, stamped it with background stamps, stenciled with black distress ink. My tree die cuts were little snippits of backgrounds in my UFO box and some red stickles. I may have  missed a few things.

I thought the tag would look good as a card so I hinged it on the inside and made an envelope with my envelope maker.

CAS Christmas Card Challenge Santa

Hi Everyone, it's my turn to host CAS Christmas Card challenge and this month it's time to pull out your Santa Stamps. The challenge runs from now until November 24th and remember only Clean And Simple cards to be eligible to be the monthly winner or one of the outstanding entries.

Our Guest designer this month is Pam of (Expressions with Heart)

I used an old favorite from High Hopes Stamps with the 3 Santas, the sentiment is also a High hopes Stamps.  I watercoloured the images on hot press watercoluur paper, fussy cut each of the Santa heads and popped them into the small squares. The sentiment is stamped on the rectangle cut from the frame. I used foam dots to add a little dimension to the card.

I added some Nuvo crystal effect to the white on his hat and sprinkled some Martha Stewart glitter on it and then used a wink of Stella glitter pen over his hat and gloves to give him a little sparkle.

I'm also entering this for the Winter Wonderland Challenge (Colour it)
