Dendritic Prints using acrylic paint

I recently watched a Joggles video on creating Dendritic Prints using acrylic paint and loved the effect.

The meaning of Dendritic is having a branch form resembling a tree, which is what you get when you put acrylic paint sandwiched between two pieces of plastic and separate them.
To get your print separate the plastic sheets and then place your card stock on the paint.

These are such easy cards to make, perfect for topping up your stash for Christmas, especially as you get 2 prints for every sandwich of acrylic paint.
I used Art Alchemy Opal Magic paint, it has a wonderful shimmer and mixed golds or opals with the base colour. this one is a mix of opal green and blue.

I'm entering this into the following challenges

Card Recipe
Stamps: Tim Holtz
Paper: 110lb White, Black
Ink: Versafine Claire Nocturn
Accessories: Acrylic paint (Art Alchemy Opal Magic), Clear Embossing Powder, clear plastic sheet
Techniques: Heat Embossing

That Art Alchemy paint is beautiful - "Opal Magic" is the perfect name for it - what a gorgeous colour. And what a perfect background for those images.

Wow! What an awesome background, Christine! I don't have any metallic acrylic paint. I wonder if a little Perfect Pearls or Shimmer paint worked in would give the same effect? I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration!

WOW! What a fantastic background, Christine. I love the unique effect. Bonnie asked if this effect could be achieved with other paints ... I used to experiment with Inka Gold and it had a similar effect. But Inka Gold has sharp colors, and it's not quite the same thing.
