Hi everyone I'm over at Magenta with a quick water coloured stencil technique that we tried out in a recent crafty day with Loll, Susan and Trina.
We followed this tutorial using Elmer's Rubber Cement on the back of the stencil. It holds it in place and also stops the watercolour seeping under, well mostly 😏

You cans see the little area that seeped under the stencil, I just used a white acrylic paint to remove some of the colour.

Absolutely love this. The colors are so bright and pretty and I love the sentiment. Wonderful!
FABULOUS love the gorgeous colours too, think I may need some of the rubber cement as mine seeps through all the time.x
This is gorgeous Christine. I'm happy I got to see it in real life as well. I definitely have to get that stencil!! xx
Gorgeous card and watercolouring, Christine. So bright and cheery. Really love the cement glue idea not just for this technique, but for those small delicate areas that pull up when ink blending. xx
Artsy, beautiful and absolutely gorgeous, sunshine on a card x
Love this so much it's making me want to try the technique again!
My eyes saw this at first as a white-embossed flower stamp, and a beautiful one at that! Nice stencil and the watercolor appears to have worked quite well. I'm not sure where the seeped area is, so you must have done a good job of correcting it. It's just gorgeous, Christine!
Who would have thought! Rubber cement. That is a great idea to keep inks and paint from seeping under and I can't tell where yours did. This is such a lovely card. A new thing to add to my list of things to try.
Beautiful spring colors! This is such a happy card. Never heard of or thought about the rubber cement and thanks for the link to the video! What a wonderful idea to prevent the ink from leaking.
Love how well your elmer's glue watercolored stenciling turned out, Christine. I Love your sunflower stencil. I must add to my wishlist. Beautiful sentiment too. I kept looking for your seepage. You sure covered it up well. I agree with Trina, the glue would be great for thin pieces on stencils that lift up. I am off to check out the technique link and stencil. Hugs...Nancy
These sunflowers are gorgeous, Christine! I hope we're going to do this at the retreat?
Absolutely beautiful Christine! I love your colors.
Awesome flowers and colors, Christine. The sentiment is a perfect choice as well. A beautiful card! Hugz
