Aprils CAS Christmas Challenge - Ornament

It's time for the Christmas challenge over at CAS Christmas and this month it's "Ornaments". As the name says clean and simple cards, so come on over and join us for our second challenge. Our host for this month is Bonnie of  Stamping with Klass and of course there's the Design team to provide some wonderful ornamental inspiration.

For my ornament I've used a Stamping Up ornament stamp and die set and pine sprig from an old retired set called Peaceful Wishes.
I first stamped the ornament using a MISTI and water, then sprinkled some Infusion powdered inks over the water.  there was a slight image of the ornaments design but not enough for me to use it just as the ornament.
I used the die cut to cut the ornament and then the overlay die to cut out the glitter paper.  You can see some of the swirls

Card Recipe
Stamps: Stampin up ornament stamp and die set, Peaceful Wishes pine branch, Old Island sentiment.
Paper: 110lb white, Mixed Media, glitter paper
Ink: Ranger Archival, Infusions powdered inks
Accessories: Stampin Up Die, foam
Techniques: Stamping with powdered inks, Die cut

The swirls of colour under your ornament die-cut topper are gorgeous, Christine. The colours are deep and have a masculine look to them. Beautiful ornament and card! xx

I love the dark shades of Infusion blue and beautiful swirls of the ornament, Christine! The silver glitter die-cut ornament is festive, and the vertical sentiment is an eye-catching. Hideko xx

Beautiful, Christine. Love the colours. I can definitely see the gorgeous swirls of colours though the silver glittery overlay! Silver is a great choice, too. xx

Oh WOW! What a gorgeous ornament from an Infusions background! Would have never thought to use it this way and love the silver glitter paper with it! Then again my Infusions background did not come out this beautiful. You inspired me to try again.

That ornament is beautiful with the infusions piece peeking through! It looks like a treasured vintage ornament! So pretty hanging on the pine branch! Peaceful Wishes is one of my favorite old sets!

I know that the picture does not reflect the glow of this ornament, but I can see in my head how much it shines. And I love the beautiful, deep colors of the ornament.
