Crafting Day with Loll

Hi Everyone, Loll and I got together at the weekend for a fun day of crafting.
We decided to play with our embossing glazes of which we both had lots but found we weren't using them.
The glazes are coloured but translucent so pick up the colour of the background. You can see this best in my first card. I chose the glaze in the same colour family as the  the blended colour on the card, as the colours overlap they change slightly.
This was a very productive day for me as I added four cards to my stash three of which were Christmas (Yeah)

We also found more solid stamps for showing off the translucency of the embossed colour.

I splattered some water on the background before using the embossing glaze, I probably should have done a few more as you can see some of the really light splats peeking through on the glaze.

LOVE all four of your gorgeous shimmery EB glazed cards, Christine. The butterfly card is my favorite, since the glaze really shows up! But I love your 3 Christmas cards too. You have me inspired to use the glaze on some of my Christmas cards. How awesome to be able to add 4 cards to your stash and...be able to have a fun play day with Loll and I know Loll had a great time creating with you too:-) I wish I could have been there. Miss you both! Love and Hugs...Nancy

Four very special cards. thanks for the inspiration. I bought some embossing glaze but haven't really used it, so it is really good to see it showcased so well. The first 2 cards are my favourites xx

That's something I've never added to my stash. I'm afraid to start on anything new or I'll be run out of house and home. You do make it tempting. You've explained and shown its properties well with this wonderful collection of cards. Hooray for getting a few more Christmas cards done and enjoying some crafty time with Loll while you were at it!

Great use of the glaze on all the cards Christine, but expecially the butterflies over that wonderful bright background, but all the Christmas cards are so pretty too. I do have the Studio Light reindeer and you have inspired me to get it out again for some of this year's cards. x
