Hi Everyone, it's time for a new challenge and a birthday celebration at CAS Christmas.
As a part of the celebration there will be some prizes, but remember to be eligible your card has to follow the rules and be "Clean and Simple".
Loll our host wants us to create something with Kraft, Red and White, I always think of them as the perfect Christmas colours and one of my favourite combinations.
Also please welcome Gundi (Papierelle) as our Guest Designer for this month and drop by her blog to see her card.
Here's my card for the challenge, I stamped my poinsettia in white ink coloured it with pencils and then heat embossed in clear embossing powder.
The clear embossing gives a very light colour on the white. For a whiter image it's better to use either white on white (ink and powder) or Versamark and white powder. I actually like the ghosted print of the poinsettia.
Here's a close up of the image.
Card Recipe

Wow Christine - what a lovely look with the clear embossing over the white inked poinsettias! So beautfully colored in red - they look so dimensional and yet it's a no layer card, love this! xx
A wonderful Christmas card, Christine! I love the look of your flowers, the coloring is very interesting and inspiring. This card looks like multi-layer, it's amazing!
xx
Yes the ghosted look looks fabulous and what a beautiful and stunning card Christine x. Those poinsettias look so pretty x.
You are doing a remarkable job with those pencils, one of may favorite things to use. This is just gorgeous Christine. I never thought to stamp in white. What a fabulous effect.
Your poinsettias are beautifully coloured Christine, love the look of the clear embossed white ink, the ghosted look adds so much dimension, gorgeous card, Cathy x
Love this "ghosted" look on your Poinsettia's Christine...absolutely lovely card!! :0)
Your beautifully coloured poinsettias look wonderful on the kraft card Christine, and I love the white ink and clear embossing over the top and the design is great with the flowers making a border down the side of the card and the words doing the same to the right and also stamped in white and heat embossed with the clear EP. This does give a softer look to the outlines which is very pretty. x
The "ghosted" look of the clear embossing is really effective - such a soft faded look. A great contrast to the lovely colouring of the poinsettias. A great card for the challenge.
This is so pretty! I have not tried stamping in white ink and heat embossing in clear on kraft card. It's very cool and adds dimension to your beautiful poinsettias. xx
I love poinsettias and yours especially. They look very much alive and I like your coloration.
Thanks for the opportunity to be the guest designer this month and I congratulate you on your 3rd challenge blog birthday!
The detail is incredible Christine... Absolutely gorgeous!
This made a stunning card. I like the soft look of the poinsettias under the red. I also like the vertical sentiment. This is a lovely take on the challenge.
Love that embossing, a very elegant card xx
What a beautiful poinsettia image, Christine! The ghosted embossing makes that gorgeous red coloring stand out even more!
Beautiful Christmas card, Christine! I love that you chose pencils to color those pretty poinsettia's and your vertical embossing is the perfect touch! xx
Your pretty red poinsettias look so pretty against the Kraft. And yes we were on the same wave length. Have a great weekend.
A warm and wonderful color combo for Christmas, and your card is beyond beautiful, Christine!
So pretty and your pencil colouring is beautiful. I need to find some vertical sentiments. 😂
