Hi everyone, Colleen has asked us to make a card at CAS Christmas Card Challenge all about Trees.
So pull out all those wonderful Christmas trees from your stamp stash and start stamping. There's still lots of time to join in before the end of the challenge.
For my card I used a tree from Paper Artsy (JOFY) on black Mixed Media card stock with Versamark and white embossing powder. I coloured the quirky tree in metallic paints and used one of the Paper Artsy (JOFY) sentiment stamps.
This tree works perfectly with one slimline style cards. Yes I jumped on the band wagon and bought some slimline dies π I'm not sure you need the dies, we can all cut card stock to the size needed but what else would we spend our hard earned money onπ
Card Recipe
Stamps: Paper Artsy JOFY
Paper: 110lb White, Black Mixed Media card, Silver paper
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Metallic watercolours, White Embossing Powder, Slim line die
Techniques: Watercolouring

This PA quirky tree looks great on your slimline card Christine, and on the black card has the look of a chalk board effect. A very pretty card. x
Wonderful quirky tree, love the metallic paints on black cardstock. if we only ever bought what we needed we would all still have loads of space in our craft rooms. Sorry it seems a while since I visited, I have been a bit distracted recently xx
Fun and quirky... yes, this tree image was definitely meant to be put on a slimline design. Beautiful pencil colouring... I’m sure it’s gorgeous and shimmery IRL. .
Ha ha ha~ I get the same guilty feeling sometimes, but I remind myself (or try to convince myself?)that our hard earned money spent on what we love is never a waste :-) After all, your new slimline die helped you to create such a fun and fabulous Christmas card! The shimmery, metallic, quirky image on black card base looks awesome and I love that I feel something robotic about it.
Hideko xx
Oh I love this... That's such a fun tree! Beautifully done!
Such a contemporary card and tree and I love how you've coloured it Christine x. I love it! x.
What a totally fun image for a slimline card, Christine. I love how you did it on black paper and painted it up. GREAT idea! Hugz
Card to cheer you up. You can't help but smile at the sight of her. I also love its format, oblong cards are quite rare.
