A Perfect Pearl Revival

Hi Everyone we had another Zoom crafting session in September, this time Loll had us pull out our Perfect Pearls. I can't remember the last time I used them, I almost lost them in my craft cupboard they were buried deep in the back.
Loll had us water colouring, smooshing, and Versamarking with these wonderfully sparkly powders. I think the water colouring was the best.
Why buy pearlized paints when you can make your own with your stamp pads, powdered inks or any other colouring media.

Christine (that's me)

Sorry this will be a long post with lots of photos

Painting die cuts with perfect pearls mixed with water, I added a little bit of bark for Butterfly to land on.

I couldn't resist adding a close of this one and the next.

Watercolouring with perfect pearls mixed with distress inks.

I stamped on the bark, it wasn't a perfect impression but I like the effect.

 Versamark and perfect pearls

Versamark with perfect pearls and then stamped off with Versamark a second time.

I love your cards Christine. I love Perfect Pearls but forget to use them. Thanks for the reminder about how beautiful they are.

Wait. What? Did I look down during that stamp-off technique bit?! I love how fabulous both cards look, Christine, and how much coverage you got on the stamp-off! And how cool to add real bark texture to your first two awesome designs, even stamping your sediment on one! My fave is the aged coppery butterfly landed on the cogs and bark! See you next month! Hugs, Darnell

All beautiful. I really like that last one stamped off... so cool and you get an automatic twofer. I love the shimmer and may need to dig out my PO.

Love this butterfly, Christine! The bark makes a wonderful contrast! The red flowers are breathtaking with that wonderful bright red and shimmer! Love the wildflowers on black and on the white with the narrow black frame! It was so much fun! Can't wait till next time!

What brilliant results Christine and I love the all, mixing the pearls with distress inks works well and then the versamark with the gold pearls over the top is so dramatic on the dark card and then the stamp off of that one giving two bites of the cherry. x

These are exceptional!! I’m particularly fond of the steampunk butterfly! Wow I haven’t seen steampunk in such a long time. The other cards are super creative. How productive you are to finish so many card! Love them all!

Stamping on bark, how cool is that! A stunning butterfly and gorgeous water coloring on the flowers with pp. I like the look of pp on the black and the stamping again gave such a new look. Lovely cards and such a fun time with everyone.

OMG, these are all amazing, but your last card took my breath away! How gorgeous! Still, the bark on your other cards is that earthy touch I love, too. Actually, looking back at the steampunk butterfly -- love it LOTS. See, they're all awesome!

Oh my gosh, these four cards are so amazing. The butterfly is stunning! The red flower is beautiful and I love the last two. They use the same stamp, but look so different.

All fab ideas! I love Perfect Pearls but haven't ever mixed them with paint or Versamark - I will definitely be trying it soon. Your last card is my favorite - such a great look. The red flowers are soooo pretty too. Lovely post, my friend. Hugz

All your cards with Perfect Pearls are stunning, Christine! You caught beautiful shimmer in the photos! The bark makes a really interesting contrast with PP images both color and texture wise. I'd love to use my PP and try these technique sometime soon. Thanks for sharing!

A beautiful combination of a delicate butterfly with male elements. This bark perfectly combines these elements. The second card glitters wonderfully thanks to the perfect pearls, and the addition of the bark beautifully grounds this bouquet. But the last two cards left me speechless. Both versions are amazing, but for me the white card is just the height of artistry.
