CAS Christmas Card Challenge

Hi Everyone it's time for CAS Christmas Card Challenge and this month Marcia want's us to create a card with the Nativity as our theme. I hope you join Jane our Guest Designer and the CAS Christmas Design Team and play along.

For my card I've used an old stamp set from Flourishes (I think the company has now gone out of business) and a Sizzix snow globe die cut.
I stamped the image with Versafine Claire Nocturn and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I blended distress oxide inks for the sky and the sand then used pencils to colour the buildings.
The base of the globe was die cut from kraft card stock and then embossed with a wood grain embossing folder, the ridges were swiped with brown ink.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Flourishes
Paper: 110lb white, Kraft
Ink: Versafine Claire Nocturn, Distress Oxide, Distress inks
Accessories: Sizzix snow globe die, Woodgrain embossing folder
Techniques: Blending, die cutting, Heat Embossing, Embossing folder

The Bethlehem scene in the snow globe is so pretty, Christine! Love the beautiful dusky sky, the pencil colored buildings, and the realistic base of the globe. Clear heat-embossing over the inked image definitely gave clear definition.

This snow ball looks great. I love how you added colors. The sky is wonderful, the moment when the sun disappears behind the horizon. This is not the night, but not the day. A beautiful impression
