Treats on Tuesday at Magenta

Hi everyone I'm over at Magenta with a quick water coloured stencil technique that we tried out in a recent crafty day with Loll, Susan and Trina.
We followed this tutorial using Elmer's Rubber Cement on the back of the stencil. It holds it in place and also stops the watercolour seeping under, well mostly 😏

You cans see the little area that seeped under the stencil, I just used a white acrylic paint to remove some of the colour.

Stamping on Velum

CAS Watercolour is challenging everyone to watercolour on velum, I've used a poinsettia border stamp from Magenta. I stamped the image using Black Versafine Clair heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then coloured the image using Distress Oxide inks. The white berries were coloured using a white fine point pen by Pen-Touch by Sakura. I stamped the sentiment with
I always struggle with white pens, I have a Signo white gel pen for most things and it works well, but I'm always on the look out for others which give a really white colour when used. I really like the opacity of the Pen Touch  on the velum, if I find any more I'll Let you know.

Here is a close up of the colouring

I decided to create another card this time on white card stock coloured with Touch alcohol markers. Again I used Versafine Clair and clear embossing powder for the outline and then used my alcohol makers to colour in the image. I must admit I love the velum version the best, I'm sure this will be on my to do list for other cards.

Here is the close up of the colouring
