CAS Christmas Mid month Reminder

It's time for CAS Christmas mid month reminder, our guest designer is Barb (Barb's Studio Creations) and of course the team has some amazing eye candy for you to peruse.

Her is my card for the challenge, I recently purchased a Gerda Steiner Christmas Puppy set and stamped this adorable little pup all tangled in the Christmas lights. The tree is from a Paper Artsy Set by Jo Firth-Young (JOFY) which I coloured in the same way as the stamp set example (sooooo easy).

I used pencils to colour the tree as I stamped the tree straight on the base card stock, the puppy was stamped on watercolour paper and watercoloured.
A funny thing happened to my bauble at the top, it started out gold pencil and now looks blue after putting gloss on the baubles and lights. I'm not sure what happened😕

I hope you like the card and , pop over to CAS Christmas and join in.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Gerda Steiner, JOFY, Tim Holtz Sentiment.
Paper: 110lb white, watercolour
Ink: Ranger archival
Accessories: Water colours, Prismacolour pencils, Viva decor clear pen, Foam tape.
Techniques: Water colouring , pencil colouring

Love this pup paired with the Jofy stamp! Love the watercoloring on the pup as well as the whimsical coloring on that tree. I too, have had strange product reactions with Glossy Accents. No clue why either. Great, fun card.

What an adorable Christmas scene, Christine! The sweet puppy makes me smile 120%! Love the way you colored the tree with pencils. I saw the pup getting the lights down and replacing the gold bauble with the blue one last night. ;-P Hideko xx

Love the combination of the Charlie Brown style Christmas tree with the adorable pup tangled in the lights. The "naughty or nice" sentiment is so perfect!

I LOVE your sweet and adorable pup all tangled up with lights. Looks like the tree is cockeyed because the pup pulled off all the lights. Such a fun card with the perfect sentiment, my friend. TFS Christine. Hugs...Nancy

My guess is that the puppy did something to the ornament at the top of the tree. He looks full of mischief to me! This is ADORABLE, my friend! Great watercolor on the puppy and I love the Christmas tree!

So adorable Christine. This puppy makes me smile!! I wonder if he'll ever be able to untangle himself from the string of lights. :) Perfect with the sweet JOFY tree! Interesting that gold pencil turned blue with glossy accents. Always learning. :) xx

Well, obviously, you got gypped when you bought that gold ornament for the top of the tree if it got all tarnished with a little bit of gloss! I'm telling you, unscrewpewless people everywhere any more! But never fear, Christine, the color it is goes well with that stylzed tree, which works perfectly with that silly pup all tangled in the lights! This is an adorable whimsical card, balanced and sedimented perfectly!! Hugs, Darnell
