Christmas Poinsettia

I just love this little poinsettia stamp from Recollections.  It comes with the die so that's a bonus and the die cuts really close.  For this card I didn't use the die but I did use the sentiment and border stamp

I stamped the image is Pink Pirouette and watercoloured the image,  Once I finished the watercolouring I used Ancient Page (Flamingo) waterproof to re-stamp the outline.  I used perfect pearls for the stamens at the centre.  The whole image was layered on black with a thin outline for the border,

I am entering this for the following challenges

What a beautiful image. I really like how the poinsettia isn't "face on" but is a little canted. Gorgeous coloring and really clever to use the perfect pearls for the stamens!

Thanks for sharing with us at The Merry Christmas Challenge Blog!

This poinsettia is so pretty Christine! I can see why you love it. Wonderful no-line watercolouring ... the shades of pink are beautiful. Great idea to stamp over the top at the end to bring back come of the finer details. Love the pink paired with black and white ... very elegant and classy. xx

Everything about your pointsettia card is wonderful. Your watercolouring blend is perfect and I really like that you re-stamped the image with the waterproof as it brings it to life. Great sentiment too! Thanks for sharing at the Watercooler Wednesday All About Christmas Challenge this week.

An amazing card! I love all the shadows, they perfectly reflect the extra dimension to the card. At first I thought you used several layers of flower :-) Great coloring and beautiful elegant design.
