CAS Christmas October is Red and Gray

Hi Everyone it's time for October CAS Christmas Card Challenge, and this month Marcia is asking us to use some Red and Gray on our cards.
Darnell is our Guest Designer for this month, so please stop by and take a look at her wonderful card.

I Played with one of the Simon Hurley stamping foams and my Sizzix 3D Poinsettia Embossing folder to create the image. Jennifer McGuire has created a video on how to use the foam with Stamps, Stencils and Embossing folders. It was fun to use them as stamps in a slightly different way.
I used the negative side of the embossing folder and pushed the heated foam in to create raised stamp and then inked it with distress inks.

I love the delicate outline it gave me and will be using it on a few of my other Embossing folders.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Sentiment (Can't remember)
Paper: 110lb white, Gray
Ink: Ranger Distress inks
Accessories: Sizzix Embossing Folder, Simon Hurley Stamping Foam
Techniques: Stamping Foam

Very cool, Christine! I have seen that foam being used and now there is one more way to use those EF that we own. This is amazing and I too love the image you were able to stamp!

This turned out FABULOUS Christine! I saw Gina K do a video using the foam blocks, but didn't realize Jennifer had done one too, so I will definitely have to check that out! I love the embossing folder you used and it worked so beautifully for the gray and red color theme! Lovely, lovely card. Hugs. :0)

Your poinsettia card is so pretty, Christine! Wonderful imprint of the foam stamp! The tilted panel adds movement and I love it!
Nancy was telling me about the stamping foam a few weeks ago, and I was very interested in it. Now you tipped me over to purchase it. ;-)

Gorgeous card! You got such a soft and beautiful impression with the foam. Another great way to use an EF.
I’ve seen this foam, but haven’t watched JM’s video yet.

Well, first of all, your card is absolutely beautiful! Such a lovely, soft image you achieved. Second, an interesting technique. I watched a bit of the video, but will need to watch a little more. Thank you, Christine!

I love this soft look and what a cool way to get extra stamps. I have seen some videos on it but haven't invested in the foam. I might have to change that though as it looks so good. The grey and red are great too, must try and find time to have a go. Thanks for the ideas xx
