CAS Christmas Card Challenge- it's time for Dogs and Cats

Hi Everyone it's time for CAS Christmas Card Challenge and Susan our host wants to see Dogs and Cats on our cards.

Please join the Design Team and our Guest Designer Jane ( Onions and Paper blog) in creating some fun and I'm sure adorable Christmas cards.

My card for the challenge was to be my husbands Christmas card this year but somehow it got lost in my craft room. Has anyone else done that? You put something down and it vanishes, I looked 5 or 6 times before Christmas but couldn't find it. It finally re-surfaced after Christmas during my big clean up-so back in the box it goes for next year 😁

The stamp is called Cold Noses from Technique Junkies, I couldn't resist buying it with two of my own Golden Retrievers at home. I stamped the image twice and watercoloured them based on Dylan our male dog and Tika our female's colouring (Dylan is the lighter of the two) and of course added the  blue and red scarves if my husband couldn't tell who was who.
Dylan and Tika certainly have cold noses and warm hearts, here is a picture of one of their favorite activities- play fighting  in our living room. They bring us so much joy and have kept us sane and healthy during COVID💖

Card Recipe
Stamps: Technique Junkies, Rubbernecker Christmas sentiment
Paper: Black, Watercolour
Ink: Ranger Archival Black
Accessories: Watercolour
Techniques: Watercolouring

Oh, yes, I feel for you loosing things. I do it all the time regardless of how careful I am, things always go missing, it is so infuriating. Loosing a whole finished card is the pits. Glad it has turned up though your dogs and your stamps do make a good pair and they are coloured beautifully. They do look just a little serious though, I wonder whats going on in their heads xx

I have done that SO MANY times Christine! putting something up on the shelf for the next even and then either forgetting it was there - or not finding it where I thought I put it! what a great stamp to recreate your two sweet pups - I want to hold their faces between my hands just looking at them! and they even posed for the 'photo' on your card!! xx

What a beautiful card with our adorable dogs in mind and love that you have coloured them to resemble each, and love the blue and red neckerchiefs. I love the fun sentiment too. x

Lovely watercolored dogs in the image of your pups. So cute, Christine.

this is just adorable...well, your husband will love it this next Christmas, and it sure is a likeness to your two furry lovelies!

Fabulous painting on this beautiful stamp! I already went to look it up- and I imagine I'll own it soon. You even painted it to make the two look different. SO perfect. And you bet I've lost cards in the craft room- and other things too. Sadly some turn up at spring cleaning and some never turn up at all.

A perfect Christmas card for your hubby, Christine! Put it in a safe place!

I can't tell you how many things I have lost in my craft room including cards Christine, so you are definitely NOT alone! I'm sure your hubby will enjoy this card next Christmas if you can remember where you put it! (That's my problem...putting things somewhere where I think they'll be safe, and then I can't remember where the safe place is!! Grrrrr!!) But anyway, your card is absolutely ADORABLE and looks just like your 2 goldens...so sweet and beautiful!! Hugs. :0)

I've definitely done what you did and lost something in the mess of my craft room (only to have it turn up when the occasion was long past). Love your two images of the Goldens coloured in Dylan and Tika's colouring. Just don't mislay it before next Christmas! Thanks for making such a great card for the challenge I'm hosting.

Oh my gosh!! Tika and Dylan look amazing on your card Christine! I'm sure Chris would be able to tell from the colouring, but the red and blue bandanas are so adorable! What a fabulous image ... no wonder you had to have it! I know Chris will love getting this card! xx

Your dogs are beautiful. I truly am amazed when I sit something down on my desk and in less than a minute, it disappears but it happens more often than not. But, on the bright side, you already have it ready for next year. The card is awesome. You captured the fur so well and your coloring defined each one.

Oh my gosh, I love your card and your dogs! The dogs are just beautiful. I had a golden retriever when I lived in New Jersey. He was so sweet. When we were moving to Arizona in the middle of the summer heat our vet recommended we not take the dog on the plane flight. He was a bit of a skittish dog, anyways. The vet recomended we re-home him. We were staying in a hotel when we moved and bought a house without a fenced yard. It was for the best. He did very well with his new family.

Such I'm so glad you finally found this Christmas card, C beautiful Golden'shristine! I love how the pups look hand-drawn and that you colored them to match your own! I'm also a dog lover and know how wonderful and comforting they can be during hard times...Thanks for the reminder :) Barb xx

I've done so many similar things too, Christine! I actually did that this last Christmas...
The Golden Retrievers on your card look so much like Dylan and Tika, and you watercolored them so beautifully. I can feel your love of them from the card.

What a brilliant likeness for your two fur babies Christine! Fab card.
I blame the craft fairies for hiding (losing) things!

I don't even need to tell you how much I adore your card, the photos of your Goldens, your whole post. Whenever the world gets too crazy Rich and I just retreat to our Golden Retriever bubble. Your Tika and my LuLu look so much alike. Thanks for this, Christine!

Your card is a wonderful likeness of your two pups Christine! Gorgeous pics of them and their antics. I recently acquired a 2nd hand card stand from a newsagency that was closing so I can put finished cards straight in there, otherwise they'd be lost in the chaos lol! Cathy x

Oh my goodness Christine, I have totally melted! Thank you for sharing your adorable goldens in photo and in card form. So cute to see Dylan and Tika playing 'Bitey Face' together <3 I have lost presents, cards, gift wrap... I'm sure it's perfectly normal!! Vicky x

OMG! YES, I had several cards set aside this past Christmas and could not find them until after I sent out other cards. Wonderful card with beautiful colouring. Adorable pics of Dylan and Tika.

Great photos of Dylan and Tika, Christine! They are so cute playing, but they can be true professionals to sit so nicely when asked! It's incredible how much you made the awesome image look like them! (I'm just wondering whether you might want to cover up the sediment with a birthday one and give it to hubby earlier ... you know, just in case it walks off again!) Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell

Absolutely adorable card and the images so perfect for Dylan and Tika. what super adorable dogs you have and yes I have many times 'mislaid' something in my craft room x.

Oh that's such a fabulous card! I love it (and your dogs). I don't often lose cards but this year I didn't get a birthday card or anniversary card on time as hubby couldn't remember where he'd put them...

Oh my gosh! The card is so fun and so cute. The stamps are amazing but then they take on a whole new level when we see your own dogs! Fabulous make and post and dogs, Christine. Love it all! Hugz

:-) Everything is still lost in my mini carftroom. For several years I can't find a jar with gold paint, I wonder if it has dematerialized ...
Your card is gorgeous, with such an accurate mapping of the colors of your sweet dogs. It's good that we have our pets in our homes. Their love keeps us sane.
