Joining in some of the CAS challenges
this one is for CAS Waterolour Challenge cool colours.
My background is photographic paper with distress oxide ink spritzed on a craft mat and picked up. The die is a Memory box deer frame die and the sentiment is from Magenta.
My second card is for CAS Christmas, for this I used Versamark on a stencil and sookwang tape. The Versamark stops the stencil sticking to the sookwan, my first attempt was a bit of a disaster the stencil stuck and on removing it I tore the paper luckily not my stencil. I switched to using a Versamark dauber for this one.
When my stencil was in place I added red glitter and burnished it in place. I removed the stencil and added clear glitter. Because the red was put down first in the open areas of the stencil the clear picked up some of the red in the background. I then die cut the tag and added I added a strip of red foil paper to cover a scoring oopsy 😏 . The stencil and sentiment are from Magenta.

Two beautiful Christmas cards! Love the effects you got in the sky in the first one, and the tag one is so wonderfully sparkly.
Two beautiful and arsty Christmas cards Christine. Love the sky on your first card. It's amazing how the colour was picked up by the photographic paper. Your glitter tag card is gorgeous. Great work with this fun (and a bit messy) technique! :) If this is a new-to-you stencil, then you could enter this at CAS Stencil as well. xx
I had to go and look up sookwang tape and now i need some! Lovely cards,

Two great cards, Christine. I love the tag and just tried that technique with gilding flakes and it worked too. The poinsettia looks beautiful with all the sparkle on the tag. The smooshed DOX made a stunning background for the deer.
Great background on the first card and so artsy. Wow to the stunning second one. Fabulous techniques on both of your amazing card x.

Oooh, that's a very cool background on your first card! Beautiful deer die and I love the sentiment in navy. And don't you just swoon over that glittery tag? Wow! Great stuff, Christine!
What a wonderful background you created with your DOX inks Christine - your white die cut deer and circle framing really set off the colors! Love your Christmas tag card with the glittery red and white. Lots of interesting techniques used there! xx
Beautiful stenciled tag, Christine. Looks like you solved the tape problem by using Versamark. Your tag turned out beautifully with your new stencil. TFS and joining us at CAS Stencil. Hug..Nancy
