Treats on Tuesday at Magenta

Hi Everyone, I'm over at Magenta with some of their new release stamps and stencils. My technique this week is watercolour background and bleach to remove the colour, I followed the instructions of my teammate Carole Dion, if you have never visited Carole's blog you would be amazed at her artistry and creativity.

I used mixed media paper and found it held on to more of the colour than I wanted so I'm going to try with watercolour next.

Old Script

Stamps: Magenta
Paper: 110lb white, Mixed Media, Black
Ink: Ranger Archival, Distress oxide

This is absolutely gorgeous. I love that stamp on the blue background with th lettering through it. I need to start watching some videos so I can figure out how to do this stuff.

Love the saturated colours you've used Christine. The colours look amazing together. The silver stenciling is so shiny and beautiful and also adds a lightness to the design. Love it! xx

This turned out very pretty, Christine! Love it with the diamond border and script stamp. Had me fooled for a minute with the magnolia branch turned differently. I had to double check to make sure it was the same stamp. Little things can sure make a difference!

Another mixed media beauty, Christine. Wonderful watercolouring. The script bleached background and silver embossed diamonds looks so cool together. xx

Beautiful - love the combination of the fuschia coloured flowers with the blue background. The script and diamonds give wonderful texture to the background. Carole Dion uses watercolour paper (and that's what I use for this technique, and will use at our retreat - I think it definitely works better).

Wow! Love the brilliant colors on this as well as the bleaching technique! Bleach is my favorite for ghosting since I'm the impatient type. So when can I sign up for my private lessons in background? LOVE this and love the products you use.

I imagine the bleach would lighten up the card but I really like the color it is now. Beautiful coloring on the flowers and I like the touch of silver diamonds.

Fantastic technique Christine, it's been ages since I had a go at this. Love your colour choice, the silver diamond edge really compliments the blues and purples. Fab!

Christine, your card is gorgeous, I love that deep blue, the bleaching technique has worked beautifully (I must try that one!) and the magnolia is wonderful! A really beautiful card. Hugs, Anne xx

The delicate script in the background is amazing, it emerges very discreetly and it's just beautiful. The whole card is unique, and intense colors have a low dose of energy.
