Pencils with Gamsol

During our recent crafting retreat Susan (Cardmaker's Garret) walked us through using coloured pencils with Gamsol.  I wanted to see what would happen if I used pencils on coated card, it certainly lightened the colours and made the colour move easily around on the card stock.
I used this cute guy from Katzelkraft, he's looking a little blue today.

I'm entering this for the following challenges

Card Recipe
Stamps: Katzelkraft, Sentiment Tim Holtz
Paper: 110lb white, 110lb Coated card
Ink: Ranger Archival black, Ranger archival blue.
Accessories: Faber Castell pollychrome coloured pencils, gamsol
Techniques: Gamsol pencil colouring

Love that sweet little critter! You coloured him perfectly with the pencils and gamsol on the coated cs - I must give that a try! Great grounding underneath him. And a perfect CAS card!

I was thinking...I have seen that cute critter before...of course, at our retreat:-) That was such a fun technique. I already posted my tag using the technique and your poppy flowers image. We sure did have fun sharing supplies and learning techniques:-) I miss all you girls. Love and Hugs...

How adorable is this little fella! Your pencil colouring is so pretty. I’m surprised how well pencils work on coated cardstock... great job!

This is bound to bring a smile to the face of the recipient! Beautifully colored! I see I need to get some stumps. I've always used a swab but it's hard to get a smooth look.

This guy is so adorable ... even if he's feeling a little blue today. :) Wonderful colouring with the pencils Christine. I haven't tried it on coated card stock, but will give that a try. xx

Gorgeous shading using these Polychromos! I'm so fond of Katzelkraft crazy stamps too. You did a fantastic job grounding him to- something I often forget to do. This is such a great, fun card!

Sorry for the late visit, Christine! Your amusing blue polka dotty critter is beautifully colored! I remember this one in person and I liked the softness of the coloring on coated card. But, honestly, he looks a bit ticked to be wearing that sweater!! Hugs, Darnell

Christine your animal is indeed beautifully coloured, if rather wistful looking for a birthday card - it would be perfect for someone who no longer wants to be reminded 'how old?!'! Thanks for playing along with my theme challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
