Sea shells and shimmer

I recently pulled out some Lindy's Stamp Gang magical powders which have been sitting in my powdered inks box for some time.  The Magical sets comprise of 5 colours in 1/4 oz jars which can be mixed with water to make sprays or paints.

I wanted to continue the CAS Mix up theme and try them out with cling wrap.  I stamped the Impression Obsession shells using versamark on mixed media paper and heat embossed them with white detail embossing powder. I then spritzed with water with water before sprinkling a few colours of the magicals over it.  The first layer of water allows the powders to dissolve slightly and then spritz again to move them around. I took a piece of cling wrap larger than the mixed media paper and smooshed the colours around encouraging the cling wrap to crinkle on the paper.

The shimmer is so pretty as you can see from the close up.

I am entering this for

What a wonderful background, Christine! It's so perfect with the seashells and mimics the sparkle of the sun on water! Love the pattern the cling wrap left!

TFS your close up of all the shine too. Loved how well your main photo turned out. I can see all the details so well:-) I am so glad you are our Guest Designer this month at CAS Mix Up. Well Done! I love my Lindy's products, just don't use them enough. What a lovely & soft natural background this product made with your heat embossed seashells. I'm trying with the starch & brusho technique. Used a glossy paper (Kromekote) and then tried over yupo. The yupo I put a layer of Dylusions After Midnight down before sprinkling the brusho, then spraying starch. Then the cling. It had a deep royal blue until the clingwrap. Got some good effects but while the glossy paper dried nicely, the yupo did not. Blotted up the wet with a paper towel, then used a heat gun (from a distance!) That seemed to help. This one is really so lovely. TFS & Hugs

WOW.. this is what all cards should look like... it is so elegant, and has such a beautiful background. So.. that was my personal comment, and I would've given it even if I was not in the DT for the Craft Stamper.
