I used a recollection poinsettia with it's layering die and clearly besotted sentiment. I also played along with the Merry Christmas Challenge.
I stamped the poinsettia twice and coloured both with zigs watercolours. I die cut cut the outer petals and the centre allowing me to layer them. If you want more of a 3d look use an embossing tool and go around the edges, this gives shape to the image. I stenciled the background using a strip of drywall tape clarity burshes and distress inks. I also used a little glue to add the sequins. The clearly besotted sentiment was stamped in SU real red ink and the berries were covered in Viva Decor clear pearl pen.
I hope you play along and enjoy my post 😅

Beautiful use of the two colours. Love the bit of stenciling to set off the flower.
I would not have thought of coloring the poinsettia blossoms with the blue ink. I love your color combo and your matching blue stenciled background. Perfectly CAS design my friend. TFS Christine. Hugs...
Your blue poinsettia is so pretty, Christine ... great use of the challenge colours! The stenciling is just the perfect special detail. xx
Gorgeous CAS design Christine. Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday this week.
Love the dimension of this pretty poinsettia, Christine! The stenciled background adds even more dimension!
This is beautiful! I really love your clever use of the dry wall tape as a stencil! Great job and thanks for joining us this week at Merry Monday!
That poinsettia is just so beautiful in your soft blues. Love the way you used the colors of this challenge, using the red for the center of the blossom as well as the sentiment. Love the layers on this too.
Love how you designed this card. Thanks for joining us at The Merry Christmas Challenge.
Your card is stunning. I love the blue, I love the layers and I agree the stylist gives great curve and realness to the flowers and leaves. The drywall tape stencil is brilliant. I have some. Got to give this a try. I love your card. Thanks for sharing over at The Merry Christmas challenge.

WOW...CAS perfection Christine...LOVE it!! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Merry Monday!! :0)
Your project is unique. The combination of blue and red, despite being as opposed to water and fire, looks amazing. Your delicate stencil background perfectly complements the flower. I also love the layered poinsettia. The choice of sentiment is also perfect.

Very imaginative poinsettia. Love the blue! Adding the 2 layers really added lots of depth to the flower, and I love the drywall tape stenciling! It's CAS, but with lots of color and texture too. TFS & Hugs
