The two cards have the same sweet birdie die cuts, one has been watercoloured, the other is a cling wrap background.
I used one of my cling wrap background and die cut the image. I used some Lindy's stamp gang powders which had some really pretty earthy tones in greens browns and blues which seem to fit with the birds. the background silhouette stamp makes it look a little busy, oh well next time 😊
the second die cut I watercoloured with Daniel Smith dot sheet Watercolours. I haven't done much die cut watercolouring and was encourage by my friends Loll and Susan who have both been playing with die cuts. I still need some work on my technique but defintly want to play more.

Paper: 110lb white, black, watercolour, coated card

Amazing and so very beautiful. The die cut is ever so pretty and you've done a fabulous job with water colouring on the first card....Such a pretty and absolutely beautiful card. The wrap technique works perfectly for those cute birds, on your second card and such a great way to incorporate the unique and wonderful technique. I think the background stamping adds another layer of interest and is spot on. I always enjoy reading your posts Christine as you are one talented lady, which I learn a lot from x
Beautiful cards, so nicely crafted!
Those bird die cuts are amazing! And you've created two different and very lovely looks with them. The watercoloring and the cling wrap effect are wonderful. So glad you made it into the gallery before the deadline. Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! Bev
Love both of these, Christine. Two very different looks! The get well card is so pretty and spring-like with the delicate colours. On the I love the way you used a thin mat of the cling wrap piece inside the circle. You say you think the birds look a bit too busy on the background stamping, but it makes me think of birds in a shrub or thicket of bushes.
Two lovely cards using that beautiful bird die cut with different coloring techniques - I really love your cling wrap one Christine - thanks for sharing with us at the CAS Mix Up! Julia xx
Both your die cut birds cards are so beautiful and yet so different, Christine I thought your watercolored die turned out beautifully. I have yet to try the technique. Hopefully soon.
I love your 2nd card using your birds die cut from your beautiful cling wrap background. Love the earth tones. TFS my friend. Hugs...
These die cut birds are so sweet Christine and I love them both. The watercoloured ones turned out beautifully, and the Lindy's powders and cling film piece that you have die cut the second pair out of has lots of pretty tones and I think the black silhouette flowers in the background are perfect. x
Two beautiful cards Christine. Love the cling wrap colours on your first card. Those earth tones are so wonderful. And great job with watercolouring the second card. Watercolouring die-cuts is fun!! Thanks for sharing your cards with us at CAS Mix Up and Twofer Card Challenge! xx
I want to try that technique with die-cuts, too, and I think yours are terrific, Christine! I especially love the red and blue birds you did and your cling wrap in those colors makes a great manly birthday card! Thank you for the shoutout and for joining in the first Twofer Card Challenge!! Hugs, Darnell
Beautiful twofers. You coloured the bird die cut beautifully. Can’t wait to do some of this colouring at our next crafty date.
Oh, and congrats on getting HMs at Merry Monday. xx
I think you've got the hang of watercolouring die cuts, Christine! These birds are so sweet! Love them from the cling wrap too! Love the soft background stamp and stenciled backgrounds with the watercolour birds and the narrow matting of the aperture with the cling wrap birds!
I love both cards, Christine and bow to you for water color on a die cut, something I have not tried. Your cling wrap birds are amazing and how I love the colors! The card base on your watercolored birds looks wonderful, so subtle. Thanks for the inspiration.
Beautiful cling wrap bg birds and the sweet watercolored birds, Christine! I LOVE the earthy tones in greens, browns, and blues. They're so chic and pretty! The subtle pattern of the front panel (2nd card) is a nice touch too. They're fabulous twofer cards! Hideko xx
