The challenge is to create two different cards for two different occasions based on feathers, here are my cards one for birthday and one thinking of you card. I opted to use die cuts
Here's the first card, the background is distressed oxide smooshed on mixed media paper. I die cut the feather, stamped the background using a Carabelle stamp and attached the background to navy card stock. The die cut feather was embossed using Versamark and clear embossing powder then mounted on a die cut black foam. I off set the die cut to see the blue behind.
my second card is a mixed media card, the edge is embossed in gold embossing powder, glass beads have been smeared over the stamped image and the feather is embossed in aged green Frantage embossing powder. the Frantage has green, copper and clear embossing powder in it. The clear causes the other colours to float around.
For both cards I decided to turn both focal images and keep the sentiments straight
I'd love to hear your thoughts on my cards and don't forget to drop by Darnell's challenge and check out all the amazing inspiration from the Design team and other entries 😊

Both your cards are absolutely Stunning, my friend!!! I love your mixed media elements, earthy colors and angled main images with white background for a CAS design. TFS your close up of your 2nd card showing the shiny heat embossing...gorgeous, Christine! Hugs.
AMAZING cards Christine!! Love the deep and saturated colours you've used with both cards. Very creative to angle the panels and keep the sentiments straight :) LOVE the second card with the close-up shot of all the shine from the gold heat embossing. Frantage looks awesome on the feather. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge. xx
Two gorgeous cards Christine, I love them both.

These are just amazing, Christine! All that texture and depth and interest you've created on your cards is wonderful! And those colors...!! I especially love the look you've got with that gorgeous Frantage. Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Looking forward to more of your creations. Bev
Wonderful feather die cut and so beautifully used on both cards. I love the colors too.
A creative mix of colours and detail but still beautifully CAS.
Wonderful texture and dimension, Christine! I'll bet the feel is as awesome as the look!
Really the only word for both cards is STUNNING, Christine! I find it nearly impossible to tear my eyes away from the fabulous depth, color, and glimmer you've achieved with these! I'd love to see them in person and watch you create this magic!! Thank you so much for the shoutout and for playing! I appreciate it very much!! Hugs, Darnell
Gorgeous twofers, Christine. Your smooshed background looks amazing. Love the shimmer and the richness of the colours. Using diecuts is perfect.
Wow! These cards are spectacular! Absolutely adore the raised feather and the beautiful background of the first card. And the multi media look of the second one takes my breath away!
Thank you for joining in at the very first Twofer Card Challenge!
...and thank you for your kind words on my blog!
You do some of the most amazing, mixed media cards. I love your eclectic style and the use of products most of us would not even think of. In some cases, I never heard of them! It's such a delight to see your work.
Wow, Christine ... these are stunning! Such wonderful texture, shine, depth and dimension on each one ... love how the glass bead gel and gold embossing catches the light on the second, it's magical! Thanks so much for your visit and sweet words ... and for playing along with us at our inaugural Twofer Card Challenge! Anita :)
Two great, very beautiful cards. I love beautiful details. Gold borders and colors look great, which I love ... perfect card!
Awesome! Love what you've achieved with the fab frontage - that is such a stunning look. Well done on the Twofer launch. I've only gotten so far as die cutting the feather, then again to make a foam stamp of it. Used one of the cling wrap pieces that I had embossed images, then put the brushos over to die cut. Hope I can think of some designs in time to play along. I LOVE these! TFS & Hgus
So glad I got to see these in real life as they are even better than the photos depict! Love that embossing powder with the green and copper - it makes that card so special!!
gorgeous cards Christine...love the look you achieved with both of them...like 2 little gems. Well done.
xx Karen
Two really pretty and cleverly designed backgrounds Christine and love what you have done with the die cut feathers too. I love the vibrant colours and the added gold embossing on the second card. x
The intensity of your inking and embossing give both of your cards so much depth and interest! I love how you raised the feather out of the panel and also how the Frantage and glass beads give so much texture! You're a master of mixed media, Christine! Thanks for joining in on the fun at Twofer Card Challenge!
Fabulous backgrounds!
