CAS Watercolour January Challenge "Birthday"

Wow, 2018 can you believe it, where did 2017 go?

Well it's time for an new year of CAS Watercolour challenges. This month the challenge is Birthday and I'm sure we all need birthday cards. So pull out those watercolours and join us in the challenge.

This months Guest Designer if Birgit of Rapport fran ett skrivbord, Birgit is an incredibly talented card maker so please head over and leave some comments of admiration, and don't forget to drop in on the rest of the design team and check out all their wonderful inspiration.

Here's my card, I used hot press watercolour paper and a Winnie and Walter background stamp with clear embossing powder, Distress inks and an emboss resist technique.  I die cut the frame in black and again from the watercolour background and inlaid the background into the black frame.  The Die cut is from Your next die, I love this frame, it's so versatile.  The bird die is from Penny black and the birthday sentiment  is from Paper Smooches

Here's close up of the little bird and the frame

I would love to see your comments and if you have any questions I am happy to answer them.

Artsy design Christine. LOVE that geometric embossed background. Beautiful mix of blues for watercolouring over top. I agree, great frame die! xx

The black silhouette bird on the frame encloses the pretty watercolouring with Distress Inks beautifully Christine, and this looks quite dramatic against the white of the background card. x

Your color blending in your background is just beautiful. I admit, when I opened your card, my first reaction was "How'd she do that!" Thanks for the info. Great use of that background stamp and love the way you finished this off with your frame.
