Group of Cardmakers - Acrylic block stamping

Hi everyone it's time for the Group of Cardmakers monthly technique. This month we are doing some acrylic block stamping

There are a few videos for you to watch so you can see how easy this technique is.
Videos:
Acrylic Block Stamping by Jo Rice (15:50)
Acrylic Block Stamped Background by Annabelle Stamps (5:39)

Distress Oxide inks

Distress Oxide inks and sprayed some shimmer paint mixed with water.

Second generation from the above ink but spritzing with a little more water before placing the block on the paper

I had a lot of fun with this technique

Your cards all worked out so well! I especially like the two with Santa and the reindeer - the acrylic block stamping works perfectly for them.

Great job with the Christmas cards and a quick way to do a background. Love the ladybugs.

You got wonderful results with this technique, Christine! I love the stacked prints and that pretty flower on the first! It worked beautifully for the sky that Santa and his reindeer are flying across. A great idea to do the second generation printing. Those ladybugs are a delight on the third card! What a great technique!

This really is a rather brilliant way to lay down a watercolor background. They're all fabulous, including the second generation stamping. There are so many ideas I want to sit down and play with!

It's not just the technique, but above all the artist's creativity and vision that makes it possible to create such masterpieces from a simple technique as you've shown us! These cards are brilliant, all of them!
hugs,
BożenA xx

Four beautiful cards featuring this fun technique which has given wonderful background for each of your cards Christine. I love the three colours used to make the background for the pretty added foxglove, and the more monochromatic look for the second and third with Santa and his sleigh, and lastly the cute ladybirds with a complemetary grey background and a lovely red mat which goes perfectly..all great designs. x

You)ve nailed this technique! Fabulous collection. You got a very good impression on the first with the only the DOx, but I like the organic artsy look of the Santa sleigh Christmas cards.
