Hi everyone the Group of Cardmakers are playing with dies again. This month we are inlaying some colour inside the die cuts. Inlay can be clouding the die cuts, using Designer Paper ore scraps of leftover backgrounds.

For my first card I watercoloiured the inlay pieces cut from white card into a black outline, the background is a script embossing folder.
My third card I rummaged through my stash and found a scrap of salted water colour background. I die cut the frame twice in white card and layered them for a little dimension, then die cut the background. the sentiment was die cut twice, once in the watercolour card and again in black, the black was off set slightly to give a shadow effect making it stand out a little more on the background.

Three beautiful cards using this wonderful technique, Christine. Love those pretty flowers outlined in black. They really pop off the textured white background. Your gold and red poinsettia is GORGEOUS! Love this image! I love the soft red sponging paired with the gold outline ... perfect together! And your final card is so artsy with the salted watercolour background. Popping up the sentiment with a black shadow really makes it stand out against the background. It gives a beautiful background to show off your lovely snowflake frame. Great work, my friend!! xx
Beautiful cards Christine and the poppy on the first is so pretty coloured in black and red and inlaid into the script EF, and then the super large poinsettia inlaid in pink and gold is very effective, and the wonderful watercoloured and salted blue background works brilliantly within the snowflake frame, and a great idea to add the black shadow layer beneath the inlaid sentiment. x

A trio of inlaid beauties! The poinsettia is gorgeous. But no surprise, your blue salted background Christmas card caught my eye immediately.
Three lovely cards Christine using this fun technique! Your flower is so pretty with the red inside the black outline, your poinsettia is beautiful with the lovely shading of the petals and the gold leaves and berries surrounding it, and your blue background really sets off the white die cut snowflakes! Love this technique! So many brilliant ways to use it, and your cards are all gorgeous. Your poppy has a whole different look with the inlaid parts. The poinsettia is especially eye catching.
