Hi everyone, this month Group of Seven Cardmakers are using Velum and embossing (Dry, Heat and Pastes) as the product and technique to try.
For my cards I have used Dry (using an Embossing Folder) and Heat Embossing. The thicker velum handles the dry embossing much better and doesn't seem to crack when you emboss it..
Card #1, Simon Says Stamp Embossing folder, Stampers Anonymous Sentiment. The embossed area was placed over blue card and mounted on a white base.

Your first card is AMAZING. LOVELY embossed design and looks beautiful over top of your blue card base. The sentiment fits perfectly in the center space of the design. Beautiful CAS design with your double stamped vellum. Stamping on both sides adds so much depth. It's a fantastic technique and you've done it to perfection! xx
The embossing folder you used on this first card is perfect with the vellum! Such a classy card! Love the leaves and aperture on the second card using one of my favorite techniques!

Two real beauties Christine and love the blue behind the pretty pinecone leaves and berries EF on the first seasonal card, and then the second, definitely my favourite with the fabulous white embossed leaves on the front, and the same leaves stamped in that pretty blue on the back, and looking wonderful placed behind the rectangular aperture, also a lovely added sentiment in blue..so elegant. x
Oh, my, it does turn out beautiful! I still have that SU sentiment set. The technique used in your second card is one I've had bookmarked since I first saw it. My mantra has become "can't do everything at once". Gorgeous cards, Christine!
Both are beautiful. I think dry embossed vellum is always so elegant.
