Group of Seven Technique - Cover Die Eclipse

Hi everyone, it's time for our Group of Seven Cardmakers technique. This month we are having fun with Cover Die Eclipse. This is one of those must try techniques, easy but so effective.

There is a video you can follow Stamp & Chat wit Gina K,
The basic idea is -
Stamp your image twice
Die cut one with a backplate.
Die cut and additional one or two white pieces of card with the same backplate to layer under your image.
When you are happy with the thickness of your layers place the second stamped image behind.

Card 1 I stamped the image twice and coloured both the same, sorry I don't know who makes the flowers as I borrowed the stamp, the Sentiment is from Impression Obsession, Mosaic die

Card 2 -Art Kure Image, BetterPress Sentiment, Kokorosastudio Puzzle  die. I kept it simple and just stamped the image

Card 3 Magenta Stamps, Mosaic die.

That cat! It took me a few seconds to see him! Very cool, Christine! Actually I love all your designs and how you did the stacking. Now I want to try that myself. This technique is addicting. Happy Easter! Love, Darnell

This is a beautiful and very effective technique. I saw the cat right away and I like that you used gray ink, thanks to which the cat is not defined too obviously. I love the birthday card, you chose a beautiful stamp and die for this technique. And the card with this charming scene... brilliant choice of die, these puzzles worked great in this technique.
Happy Easter, dear Christine!
hugs,
BożenA xx

Oh what fun cover dies you used on your three wonderful designs Christine! They all have such depth with your layering die cuts. Your flowers are beautiful, the puzzle die is so fun over your pretty winter scene and the cat is so fun looking through the 'curtain'! Julia xx

Three great cards using this technique. Your dies all worked out so well that I want to try this using dies too. The kitty is so cute. I love the mosaic die over those pretty flowers and the black and white just pops.

All three of these are SO innovative. I do love the black and whites as well as the beautiful floral. Thank you for the video too. I do want to thank you for the tip about Kokorosa dies. Those are the best dies I have ever worked with and LOVE seeing what you do with them. Happy to get a notification.

Your coloring of the yellow flowers is perfect for matching up with the die cut piece, Christine! And what a fun pressed design cut like a dimensional puzzle! Love that tiny heart on the kitty peeking out from the mosaic design! Isn't this a fun technique?

This is an intriguing technique. I appreciate your explanation of it as I didn't quite get it before. I'm thinking it would be a good way to use up some designer paper. Cool dies you used for the top. Love the mosaics. Happy Easter, Christine!

Great examples of our Group of Seven technique! Love the vibrancy of the flower one. And then the Christmas one and cat one show how well it works with more subtle colours.
