CAS Christmas Mid Month Reminder - Pine

Hi Everyone, it's time for CAS Christmas mid month reminder and Trina wants us to make some cards with pine on them. Remember you have till the 24th of the month to play along.

I used the Unity pine cone and branch set along with the sentiment. I stamped the branch directly onto the card base and stamped the pine cone on mixed media paper. I fussy cut the pine cone, coloured in different shades of brown and coloured the edged it using a brown pen. I used my McGill flower shaping tools to give a more 3D effect.

I added a few small sparkly white sequins as water drops.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Unity
Paper: 110lb White, Mixed Media
Ink: Ranger Archival
Accessories: MISTI stamp Platform, Coloured Pencils, McGill flower shaping tools
Techniques: Stamping

This is so pretty. For years I have been trying to do a pine branch with pine cone. It never seems to wprk out well. Maybe, I'll try it again sometime.

I love this pine twig and pine cone with all its extra dimensions. It is certainly a very clever technique to add some dimension to a two-dimensional image. Thanks for the inspiration!
