CAS Christmas Card Challenge Mid Month Reminder - Critters

Hi Everyone it's time for CAS Christmas Mid Month Reminder and also a reminder that it's our last challenge of the year and we would love to see you join in.

For my card I pencil coloured the cute little dog from MFT Pawlidays, and Glimmer foiled the Memory box Snowflake frame die and a JOY die from Tim Hotz/Sizzix.

After seeing Hidiko and Bonnie's beautiful foil backgrounds I invested in a Glimmer foil system myself (an early Christmas present to me 😍), I still have a lot to learn about keeping the dies straight but I must admit I love the idea of another use for my dies.

Card Recipe
Stamps: My Favorite Things- Pawlidays
Paper: 110lb White, Gold Foil Card
Ink: Ranger Archival Black
Accessories: Sizzix Die, Memory Box Die, Glimmer Foil System, Pencils
Techniques: Pencil Colouring, Glimmer Foiling

Brilliant, love the foiled look. I hadn't realised you can use ordinary dies in the glimmer foil system. It just might make me feel that I have to have one, it is an amazing look xx

What a sweet pup! Looks like he hopes to get someone to put treats in his stocking! Love that foiling - I just can't invest in one more thing before I start using all the other machines I've purchased for things and then haven't used! This looks so pretty though.........

I know you'll enjoy the Glimmer Foil system, Christine! As Hideko told me, tape is a great friend with foiling! It does help to keep things straight! Love the snowflake frame and your pup is adorable and beautifully colored! He looks all set for Santa with his stocking!

What a wonderful early Christmas present you received, Christine! Welcome to the club! ;-P
You did a wonderful job on giving the adorable pup a shiny snowflake window! I have never used my dies for foiling, but YOU inspired me to try it. I'm sure you'll enjoy foiling a lot!
Hideko xx

Beautiful foiling for the frame and the snowflakes, Christine. What a fun way to get more use from your dies! Love that sweet pup just wanting someone to fill his stocking. :) xx

Awwwww...what an adorable little pup Christine, and a beautiful foiled frame too! I invested in a foil machine early in the Summer, and love what it adds to a card too! And yes, washi tape or any low tack tape is definitely a friend when foiling to keep everything straight and where you want it! It's been great to work alongside you for another year on the CAS team, and I hope you and your family have a very happy and blessed Christmas! Hugs. :0)

A brilliant idea for a different use of dies. The frame looks wonderful. But what I like the most is the dog with its velor coat. Your coloring is just amazing
