CAS Christmas Mid month Reminder

Hi Everyone, here's my card for CAS Christmas card Challenge, April is Christmas Songs.

I chose to use pencils on black using this cute Penny Black set. I didn't catch the glitter from my Wink of Stella pen.

I hope you join us with a Christmas Carol.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Penny Black
Paper: Black cards stock
Ink: Hero Arts white
Accessories: MISTI, Lyra coloured pencils, Wink of Stella.
Techniques: pencil colouring on black card

I had forgotten all about how well pencils work on black and haven't done this since I first started stamping. What a wonderful effect with those hedgies. I love that you got such a crisp image with white ink, something I've never achieved. Another fresh "Christine" idea!

Adorable little critters singing their Christmas song! Love them coloured on the black - really depicts a night-time scene which is perfect since they're carrying a lantern.

They are delightful, and I absolutely love the white on black stamping. The colouring is so effective too against the "night sky".

I don't know how to use pencils on black but I sure do know I like the way it looks. If I ever get back to card making and working in my art journal, I will give it a go!
